The best compact smartphone ever made!

Generally, major smartphone manufacturers have the tendency of releasing a top tier hardcore flagship, followed by a lower specced version of the same. These phones are usually smaller and have more compromises than their more expensive and powerful siblings. I'm talking about the 'mini' or 'lite' or 'compact' named phones. Like the Axon 7 mini or the Coolpad note 3 lite. These models are usually disappointing in quite a few ways. But there was one such phone which wasn't compromised in any way at all, and was still regarded as a lightweight version. I'm talking about the Sony Xperia Z5 compact. I say, it's the best 'compact' version of a phone ever made! Let's take a look why!

The Z5 compact maintains the thing that appeals to the category of small phone users, the small size. It just has a 4.6 inch 720p screen. Though under the hood,  there's nothing compact about it. It has a powerful Snapdragon 810 octacore processor clocked at 2.0 GHZ and an Adreno 430 GPU. It has 2 GB of DDR3 RAM along with 32 GB of expandable onboard storage. That's pretty good for a low end version of a flagship, if you ask me! Performance is actually great! The silicon under the hood combined with a low-rez display, makes for a smooth overall experience. You'll be very happy using this fast and slick little guy. Thumbs up for Sony! I wish I could say the same for the recent X compact. Its a total let down .

The camera on the Z5 compact is the same 23 mp Exmore RS sensor from the Z5 premium, and image quality is just as good. It has 4k video capabilities too. The front camera is a 5 mp sensor which can record up to 1080p videos. Again, one of the best cameras on a 'compact' variant.

The only thing that slightly let's me down is the battery. Smaller phones will naturally have a smaller battery. The Z5 compact has a relatively same 2700 mAh unit. Though it's good enough for the intended  usage, for heavy users it'll be sort of a let down. It will get you through a day with moderate usage, giving you about 4 hrs if screen on time. That's pretty decent, since it has a pretty powerful processor.

So, I wanted this great phone to be brought back into light for those who want powerful performance in a tiny form factor. The Xperia Z5 compact is definitely worthy of a glance, and gets a green light from my side!!
