Energizer Power Max P18K smartphone has an 18000 mAh battery in it!

Energizer Power Max P18K

Yup, it's official. We have passed the phase of insanity when it comes to battery capacity of our smartphones.

We saw phones like the Gionee M2017 with 7000 mAh batteries, then the likes of Oukitel K10000 came along with 10000 mAh units. The current world record for the highest battery capacity in a smartphone belonged to the BlackView P10000, with its 11000 mAh cell.

I guess it was about time we witnessed a higher jaw dropping battery capacity, though it is completely unnecessary.

Presenting, the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop with its mind bending 18,000 mAh battery unit!

Energizer Power Max P18K

Let that sink in a for a while..

18 Thousand MilliAmps! And it looks more absurd than it sounds, doesn't it?

Energizer Power Max P18K

It's quite honestly a brick disguised as a smartphone! I mean, they need to provide you with a carry bag exclusively for this phone.

Horrendous thickness aside, it has a full view display with pop out dual cameras, triple rear camera setup, and a respectable processor.

Energizer Power Max P18K

General specs (other than the monstrous battery) are:
  • A Helio P70 octacore processor
  • 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage
  • A 6.2" 2280x1080 IPS LCD display
  • 12 mp + 5 mp rear cameras with a 2 mp depth sensor
  • 16 mp front camera, also with 2 mp depth sensor
  • A side mounted fingerprint sensor
  • 18 mm thickness! (Uncertain weight)

Yes, this is a real phone, not a gag. The thing is 1.8 cm thick. Sit down and take a breath if you have to.

Obviously, there is heavy focus on turning this into a reverse charging rig to charge your other devices via its USB type-c port, like a power bank. It's one of the devices main selling points.

Energizer Power Max P18K

I mean, who would want to carry this brick around with them? It's not to be treated as a phone with a big battery. but rather a power bank which has a phone integrated into its chunky body.

But do you know what really pissed me of about this design? It doesn't have a headphone jack! 1.8 CM space and no headphone jack, wow. Not sure what to add to that. Just...wow.

Energizer Power Max P18K

They can put a motorized pop out camera, but not a headphone jack! That 3.5mm depth is too much to as apparently (I know it's not just a 3.5mm deep hole, so stop juding).

If you've never heard of this brand before, that makes two of us! but it's insane how they managed to ecall this shocking first impression on me.

Energizer Power Max P18K

Obviously, this is the company's way of displaying their engineering guts. They probably don't expect this phone to be their bestseller for the year. This is more of a publicity stunt, produced with purposeful absurdity to gain some extra attention. I say it's working!

It caught my eye and managed to intrigue me enough that I decided to tell y'all about it, and I'm sure that's exactly what they wanted to happen.
