Affordably Dope!
Are you a fan of those 360 cameras that are going around? This one will catch your attention. Here, I'm talking about the Insta360 cameras. Particularly the Insta360 Air.

It's a small camera system that attaches to your phone via microUSB or type C port and gives that awesome 360° footage.

What sets it apart from other options out there, Luke the Gear 360? Well, it's affordable! Almost half the price of the Samsung 360 cams. And the quality isn't too bad either.

The pairing is super simple. It's very compact so there's obviously no room for a battery to be built in. It draws power directly from your phone.

Since it connects via the USB port, you don't have to worry about pairing it via Bluetooth or WiFi.
You might have some concerns about it draining your phone's battery, but don't worry. This thing is tiny and won't suck too much juice out of your device.

Besides, without an included battery, you don't have to worry about keeping it charged up all the time. Just connect and click away!

Once you install their app from the play store, it's pretty much 'plug and play'. The app will launch
automatically as soon as you connect the Insta360 Air to your phone.

like a Death Star on your phone!
Of course, the app launches upside down. Because most of our phones have usb ports on the bottom.
So you'll have to use your phone with bottom side up. The interface changes accordingly, so it's all good.

What isn't great about this camera is the actual footage quality. It's decent but isn't good enough compared to the Galaxy gear 360-II. Of course, it's much more affordable at $130, but you'll have to deal with with a bit of grain and pixellation here and there.

But it's totally fine for an average social media junky, who's only concerns are posting to Facebook and Instagram. There the photos will be compressed anyway and the quality downgrade won't be so strikingly visible.

There are tons of cool effects and filters in their app. You can pan and view the video yourself and there's also that Gyro mode. (Provided your Android phone has a gyroscope)
You can also stream live 360° content to a steaming service like YouTube or even Facebook. Vloggers among you will surely find some creative use cases for these.
