Smartisan T2 | An awesome phone that you won't buy!

A revolutionary handset |
Smartisan is a Chinese company well known for its elegantly designed products. But it's not a global player, so not very popular in Indian and American soil. Their earlier Smartisan T1 had caught my eye, but it seemed to be lacking in some departments. But this time with the T2, they've pretty much nailed it in almost every department possible.

Design: the phone is an absolute pleasure to hold, with its carbon powder coated body made out of brushed aluminium. The entire phone is a complete piece, without any antenna cut outs and plastic frames in sight. Even the sim tray is hidden under the volume buttons. If you were proud of your current all metal smartphone, you'll be blown away with the attention to detail on the T2😉.
What's interesting is that there are two customizable volume rockers on the phone; on left and right side. One can be programmed to control brightness while the other, for volume! This is made for both left and right handed people. Like I said, the design is well though out and brilliantly executed. The phone is 7.5 mm thick and weighs 146 gm.

Unique earpiece design |
Performance: the smartisan T2 runs in a hexacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 clocked at 1.8GHz with 3GB of DDR3 RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU. It has 16GB/32GB of onboard storage. Specs are definitely solid here. But the most polished thing here, is their UI. The phone runs on smartisan OS on top of Android lollipop 5.1.1 .

Decent cameras |
Battery: the battery is a 2670 mAh li-po unit. The CPU included is known for power saving and the screen is not too demanding in resolution. So battery life is pretty OK. It lasts just about a full day on moderate to heavy usage🙄.
Pricing and availability: sadly, Smartisan have not confirmed am official launch to India yet😞. But you can other from China for a price of approximately 21,000 INR. An elegant phone with state of the art engineering build, an awesome UI and pretty powerful specs, just might be worth the hassle of ordering via international imports from China.
